The James Scott Decorative Arts Society offers the Bakhap Award for Sculpture, a $10,000 acquisitive prize for a site-specific sculpture to be installed at Bridestowe Lavender Estate in Tasmania. Entries are open now, and close on January 16th 2016. Finalists have until April to submit maquettes, with the prize winner to be announced in May. An exhibition of finalists will be held at Bridestowe from May until October. The winning sculpture will be installed by October 2016, after which it can be seen by the 60,000+ visitors to Bridestowe each year. Kooindah Waters Golf and Spa Resort, Wyong, will host next year’s Sculptural Event showcasing up to 70 outdoor sculptures.
EXHIBTION DATES: Friday 8th April through to Sunday 22nd May 2016.
