2013 Sainsbury Sculpture Grant is now open for applications.

This grant provides financial support for emerging Australian artists in sculpture and/or installation to further their professional skills.

Closing date: Monday 30 September 2013 Notification: 30 November 2013 Funding available: individual applicants can be awarded $2,000 groups $4,000, Applications must be submitted by the above closing date online or via post to NAVA PO 60, Potts Point, NSW, 1335.

Ceramics Victoria ALISTAIR WHYTE: TWO DAY WORKSHOP

Having learnt his skills in the studio with Japanese Porcelain Master, Katsuno Hirokuni in Kyoto, Japan Alistair Whyte works from a tranquil setting in country Victoria with mountainous surroundings that he feels are well suited to making porcelain.

 Pozible Crowd Funded Art

Ryan Gaskett is an independent filmmaker from Melbourne currently working on a feature length documentary on the life of local chainsaw sculpture artist Leigh Conkie.
Leigh’s work can be found all across Australia, and his local work includes ‘The Sleeping Sentinel’ at Ivanhoe train station, the Greensborough War Memorial, Eltham’s Alistair Knox Park, and Sky High in the Dandenongs.
Ryan has launched a crowd funding campaign through the website
