NAVA, ArtsLaw and the PPSR

Only eight people attended a presentation by the Australian Government Solicitor and Arts Law on the Personal Property Securities Register.
It was pretty heavy going and my understanding is limited. This legislation replaces a lot of other legislation - not necessarily a simplification for us common people. It requires a review and possibly registration, of our contractual arrangments with people who exhibit our work for us. The registration would clarify who actually owns a work even though it may be in someone else’s possession.
So - we need to investigate further.... good luck everyone.
